Mr Georgios Sygkounas obtained a degree in Psychology from the Philosophy department of Aristotle University in Thessaloniki. During his studies he worked as a volunteer in numerous institutions for psychiatric patients and children with developmental disorders. In 2007 he attended a Master course in Clinical Psychology in Leiden University in the Netherlands. After that he followed a research internship focused in research designs and statistics at the same department. From 2010 to 2018 he has worked in a day care center for infants and children with autism spectrum disorders in Larissa, Greece and he holds a private office since 2010. In his private work he supports children, teenagers and families with autism spectrum disorders, anxiety disorders, addictions and depression. He is been constantly trained in the field of interventions in autism and he has participated in relevant congresses. He speaks English. He is a member of S.I.S.E.R.A since 2023.
