Our Five Strategic Goals

Our Erasmus+ Adult Accreditation is guided by a multi-year plan that defines how SISERA will grow as an organisation and as a learning community. Each strategic goal reflects a key priority in adult education: building capacity, improving quality, and strengthening cooperation at both national and European levels. These goals form the framework for all our Erasmus+ activities from 2024 to 2028, shaping how we plan, implement, and evaluate our projects. They connect directly to our mission — to make learning practical, inclusive, and connected to real life.
1. Strengthening Project Management and Organisational Capacity

SISERA aims to reinforce its ability to manage and coordinate European projects effectively and transparently.
By developing the skills of its members in areas such as planning, budgeting, reporting, and partnership coordination, the organisation ensures that its work remains professional, sustainable, and aligned with Erasmus+ standards.
This capacity-building effort allows SISERA to lead initiatives confidently and support other institutions through cooperation and shared knowledge.
How we measure success: internal reviews, completed training in project management, and successful delivery of Erasmus+ activities within planned timelines.

2. Supporting Professional Development of Educators and Researchers

Continuous professional learning helps educators and researchers stay current and motivated.
Through the Erasmus+ framework, SISERA provides its members with opportunities for training, seminars, and collaboration across Europe.
These experiences encourage the exchange of methods, enhance teaching and research practices, and contribute to higher quality in adult education.
How we measure success: participation rates, new collaborations formed, and evidence of improved teaching practices in our ongoing programmes.

3. Enhancing Digital Competence and Innovation

Digital readiness is essential for modern learning and management.
SISERA works to strengthen digital competences among its members, integrating technology into everyday educational activities and communication.
This includes using digital platforms for blended learning, knowledge sharing, and accessibility.
By encouraging digital creativity, we promote inclusion and ensure that technology becomes a bridge rather than a barrier in adult education.
How we measure success: number of digital tools integrated, participant digital assessments, and creation of new digital materials for learning and communication.

4. Promoting Environmental Awareness and Sustainable Practice

Sustainability is a central value in SISERA’s educational vision.
Our projects promote environmental awareness and responsible practices in both personal and organisational contexts.
Participants engage in learning experiences that explore climate issues, circular economy concepts, and ecological thinking — helping them connect education with sustainability in everyday life.
How we measure success: implementation of eco-friendly practices in activities, sustainability audits, and active participation in environmental projects or community initiatives.

5. Fostering Entrepreneurship and Creative Thinking

Entrepreneurial learning encourages initiative, responsibility, and innovation.
SISERA promotes this mindset by helping participants turn ideas into viable projects that support social, cultural, or educational change.
Through targeted training and mentoring, our members develop the confidence and creativity to design and manage initiatives that contribute to local and European development.
How we measure success: number of new initiatives launched, feedback from participants, and partnerships established through entrepreneurial activities.

Supporting the General Objectives of Erasmus+

Our accreditation also serves the general and specific objectives of the Erasmus+ Programme.
Each area of our work contributes to the wider vision of education, cooperation, and participation promoted by the European Union.

Promoting Lifelong Learning

We support the European goal of creating learning opportunities for everyone, regardless of age or background. By focusing on adult education, we help individuals continue their personal and professional development, strengthening social inclusion and employability.

Improving the Quality and Relevance of Education

Through staff training and mobility, we encourage innovation and the exchange of good practices. Our goal is to ensure that education remains relevant to today’s social, economic, and environmental realities, linking learning directly to the needs of communities.

Strengthening European Cooperation

Our work connects SISERA with institutions across Europe that share similar values and goals. These partnerships foster mutual understanding, cultural exchange, and shared responsibility — key elements in building a more cohesive European educational space.

Encouraging Digital Transformation

We contribute to the EU’s digital education priorities by developing our members’ digital competences and integrating digital tools into our activities. This approach improves accessibility, innovation, and the quality of learning for both staff and adult learners.

Supporting Inclusion and Equal Opportunities

We are committed to making learning accessible to all, including participants facing social, geographic, or economic barriers. By ensuring fair selection, preparation, and support, we promote equality and diversity throughout our projects.

Advancing Environmental Sustainability

Environmental awareness is integrated into every project we undertake. From reducing travel impact to creating learning materials on sustainability, our work supports the EU’s vision of a greener, more responsible Europe.

These strategic goals provide a clear direction for our work under the Erasmus+ Adult Accreditation. They guide every activity we design, from staff training to community learning. As we move forward, we will continue to evaluate, adapt, and refine our approach to ensure that our actions remain relevant, measurable, and impactful.
