Our team recently completed a week-long mobility experience in Venice, Italy, as part of our Erasmus+ KA1 project, “Personal and Professional Development with Art as a Tool” (ID: 2023-1-EL01-KA122-ADU-000145161).

The course, titled “Teaching and Learning through Art,” focused on using art in education to enhance personal growth and effectiveness in various educational and community settings.

During our time in Venice, we participated in guided tours of renowned art institutions, including the Gallerie dell’Accademia and the Arsenale Biennale. These visits increased our appreciation of art and provided us with new perspectives on incorporating art into our work with both youth and adult learners.

A key component of the program was engaging with artist Sophie Franza, who shared valuable insights into her artistic methods. We also participated in workshops that introduced us to art-based educational methods, equipping us with practical tools to foster inquiry, reflection, and skill development.

Through different activities and collaborative project design sessions, we explored how art can be used to develop essential soft skills and create more engaging environments for learning and personal development. The final presentations and peer reviews allowed us to refine our ideas and gain feedback from fellow participants.

The experience concluded with a visit to the Biennale Giardini, where we reflected on how art can inspire innovation and creativity in our work.
This project has deepened our understanding of art as a valuable educational tool and strengthened our ability to create meaningful learning experiences. We are excited to apply these insights and share them with our community.
