The second mobility of our project "Personal and Professional Development with Art as a Tool" is completed!

Our team recently completed the second mobility course in Nice, France, as part of our Erasmus+ KA1 project, “Personal and Professional Development with Art as a Tool” (ID: 2023-1-EL01-KA122-ADU-000145161). The course, titled “Art as Therapy: Self-Expression and Special Needs in Art Education,” focused on using art therapy to enhance personal growth and improve teaching methods in educational and community settings.

Throughout the week, we learned about art therapy’s history and key principles. We participated in drama-based icebreakers to build trust and teamwork, fostering a supportive learning environment. We explored how art can enhance well-being through activities like intuitive drawing and painting, giving us practical methods for self-expression and reflection.

A significant part of the program involved developing soft skills such as self-awareness and empathy. We attended workshops on photography and 3D art to encourage self-expression and personal growth. We also learned about art therapy’s role in supporting students with special needs, focusing on adapting techniques to promote inclusivity and accessibility.

The course concluded with a certificate ceremony and cultural excursions around Nice, allowing us to reflect on our learning and enjoy the local culture. This project has provided us with practical strategies to create meaningful learning experiences and support the well-being of youth and adult learners. We look forward to applying these lessons and sharing them with our community.
