INTRODUCTION

About the Project

This project marks the beginning of SISERA’s long-term participation in the Erasmus+ Programme. Its purpose is to build the practical capacity needed to manage projects with confidence and consistency — from planning and partner communication to reporting, inclusion, and quality assurance.

The staff trainings in Vienna and Iceland focused on the internal side of project work: how to organise a timeline, monitor tasks, maintain transparency, support participants, and collaborate respectfully with partners. Participants were able to compare practices, discuss challenges openly, and learn concrete methods that can be applied immediately inside SISERA.

The learners’ mobility in Rome brought the project full circle. While staff training strengthens the organisation, learner mobility connects our work directly to the people we serve. The Rome mobility provided a structured learning experience that supported communication, independence, cultural understanding, and confidence in social participation — all essential for adult education.

Together, these activities help us create a stable and responsible foundation for future Erasmus+ projects — one that prioritises clarity, care, and real learning.

Main topics

Project Overview

How the Project Works:
The project includes a sequence of training, preparation, mobility, and internal application phases designed to ensure real transfer of learning into SISERA’s work.

Preparation & Planning

Before each mobility, clear task roles, communication channels, travel arrangements, and learning expectations were defined. This ensured that every participant understood their responsibilities and could focus fully on the experience.

Structured Training & Mobility

The staff trainings in Vienna and Iceland provided hands-on experience in project planning, budgeting, reporting, inclusion, and partnership communication. The learners’ mobility in Rome supported personal development through guided activities and cultural learning.

Internal Sharing & Application

After each mobility, dedicated time was set aside for reflection and transferring knowledge into workflows. Templates, checklists, and internal briefings were developed to make improvements visible and practical.

Quality, Accessibility & Care

Throughout the project, emphasis was placed on safe, inclusive, and respectful participation. This included supporting learners’ needs, using clear language, ensuring support during travel, and maintaining responsible environmental travel practices.

Strengthen Practical Skills in Project Management

Provide staff with step-by-step understanding of how to create timelines, manage budgets, coordinate with partners, and report progress accurately — reducing stress, guesswork, and dependency on outside support.

Create Consistent Internal Tools and Procedures

Develop shared templates and communication habits that make projects easier to run, easier to follow, and easier to evaluate. This ensures continuity when new staff members join future projects.

Build and Maintain Meaningful European Partnerships

Establish cooperation with organisations who share similar values and working styles, focusing on honest communication and realistic planning to support long-term collaboration.

Support Personal Growth and Participation for Adult Learners

Provide adult learners with opportunities to gain confidence, cultural awareness, and communication skills through mobility in Rome — helping strengthen self-efficacy and everyday independence.

Ensure Sustainable, Inclusive, and Safe Participation

Make mobility accessible, supportive, and environmentally responsible. Respect individual needs, encourage reflection, and ensure that every participant feels prepared and cared for before, during, and after the experience.
