We invite young people and youth workers from Greece, Italy, Romania, and Spain to apply for this Erasmus+ training course focused on climate justice. The program will take place in Meteora, a unique and powerful natural environment in central Greece.
This course is an opportunity to reflect on climate change not only as an environmental issue but as a question of fairness, power, and collective responsibility. Through creative and participatory methods, we’ll explore how social justice and climate action can be deeply connected.
About the Training
Climate Justice: Rethinking Power, People, and the Planet is a 7-day training course designed to explore the deeper roots of the climate crisis—through history, inequality, and systems of power—and how young people can lead the way in building fair and sustainable futures.
Participants will engage in:
Participatory workshops on climate justice and activism
Creative sessions such as storytelling, forum theatre, and zine-making
Real case studies and global perspectives
Group dialogue, reflection, and outdoor activities
What You Will Gain
A deeper understanding of climate justice from a global and local perspective
Tools and methods for creative and inclusive education
New ideas and strategies to support change in your community
Confidence to engage others in conversations around justice and sustainability
A YouthPass Certificate documenting your learning experience
New connections with like-minded peers from across Europe
Who Can Apply
Youth and youth workers aged 18–30 (some flexibility for active youth leaders)
Residents of Greece, Italy, Romania, or Spain
People interested in climate, social change, creativity, and youth engagement
No prior experience needed — only motivation, openness, and readiness to participate fully
Practical Details
Accommodation: Shared rooms at a local hotel in Kalambaka (near Meteora)
Meals: Three meals per day provided, with vegetarian and vegan options available
Travel: Reimbursed according to Erasmus+ distance rules (green travel encouraged)
Language: The training will be conducted in English
