What does it mean to belong — and to what?

“Cultures of Belonging” is an Erasmus+ Youth Exchange that explores identity, communication, culture, and belonging through shared experience, intercultural dialogue, and non-formal learning.

Culture is often understood as something we simply represent: our country, language, traditions, or background. But culture is also something we experience and reproduce every day through communication, relationships, habits, environments, media, and the ways we relate to others.

This youth exchange invites participants to reflect on:
✨ how identity is shaped through everyday life
✨ how communication influences understanding and misunderstanding
✨ how belonging and exclusion are experienced within groups and societies
✨ how individuality and community coexist
✨ how we create spaces of participation, care, and mutual respect

Rather than focusing on fixed definitions, the project approaches culture as something dynamic — something we continuously participate in, influence, and negotiate together.

Through experiential learning, creative activities, group processes, reflection, and intercultural exchange, participants will engage in a shared journey of questioning, understanding, and connection.

The activity will take place in the beautiful seaside area of Platamonas, beneath Mount Olympus, combining meaningful learning with nature, intercultural exchange, and the atmosphere of the Greek summer. ☀️🌊

👥 Participants: Young people aged 18–30
🌍 Countries involved: Greece, Poland, Romania & Croatia

• curious and open-minded
• motivated to participate actively in group activities and discussions
• interested in intercultural learning and shared experiences
• willing to engage respectfully with others and themselves
