What is Erasmus+ Adult Accreditation?

Erasmus+ Adult Accreditation is a recognition by the European Union for organisations that actively support adult learning and lifelong education. It provides a framework to plan and implement high-quality mobility and training projects across Europe, helping educators, professionals, and communities exchange knowledge and strengthen their skills. Through this accreditation, organisations gain stable access to Erasmus+ funding and can build long-term partnerships that promote inclusion, sustainability, and innovation in adult education.

About Our Accreditation

Through our Erasmus+ Adult Accreditation, SISERA Greece continues its work to make education a practical tool for growth, equality, and community development. Our accreditation reflects our aim to connect learning with real life — supporting educators, scientists, and adult learners as they adapt to social, digital, and environmental challenges. By joining the Erasmus+ network, we open new paths for cooperation, training, and shared learning that strengthen both individuals and the communities they serve.

Strategic Development

Our Erasmus+ Adult Accreditation is built around a long-term plan for growth and cooperation. Each objective reflects our commitment to quality adult education, professional development, and social responsibility. These priorities guide how SISERA Greece designs its projects, supports its members, and measures progress within the Erasmus+ framework.

Training in Project Management and Organisation

SISERA aims to equip its members with practical skills in planning, managing, and evaluating European programmes. Effective project management allows our organisation to grow steadily, ensure transparency, and maintain the high standards expected in Erasmus+ partnerships.
Training in this field covers the full management cycle: preparation, organisation, coordination, communication, and evaluation. By developing these abilities internally, we reduce dependence on external consultants and strengthen our organisational independence.

Timing:
The first results are expected after the initial mobility in 2024, as members apply their new knowledge to ongoing projects and collaborations.

Evaluation:
Progress is assessed by a three-member evaluation team that reviews learning outcomes, conducts preparation and debriefing meetings, and compares results with initial objectives. Questionnaires and feedback from partners and dissemination participants are used to measure both individual and organisational improvement.

Professional Development of SISERA’s Educators and Researchers

This objective focuses on the continued professional growth of SISERA’s members — teachers, trainers, and researchers from various scientific backgrounds. Professional development enhances teaching quality, promotes the exchange of experience, and supports the integration of innovative educational methods.
By participating in mobility activities, members explore modern approaches to learning, build partnerships, and bring back insights that enrich SISERA’s programmes. The ultimate goal is to foster a culture of continuous learning that benefits not only individual members but also the communities they serve.

Timing:
Initial outcomes are expected after the second mobility in 2025, with broader impact following dissemination and integration of new practices across the organisation.

Evaluation:
Progress is measured through both internal and external evaluation. Internally, members reflect on their development and share outcomes with peers. Externally, partner institutions and participants in dissemination events provide feedback on the practical value and quality of new practices introduced.

Development of Digital Skills

Digital competence is a key element of modern education. This objective aims to ensure that all SISERA members can use digital tools effectively for teaching, communication, and research. Improved digital skills support more inclusive access to learning, strengthen internal communication, and allow the creation of innovative online resources and seminars.
Through this objective, SISERA promotes equal participation in the digital era and fosters the use of technology to enhance lifelong learning opportunities.

Timing:
The first results are expected after the third mobility in 2026, with ongoing improvements throughout the accreditation period as digital tools become an integral part of our work.

Evaluation:
Progress is monitored through self-assessment tools such as online quizzes and the TET-SAT (Technology Enhanced Teaching) framework. Feedback from participants and project partners measures how digital methods are implemented in daily activities, teaching, and communication.

Education for Environmental Sustainability

SISERA integrates environmental education into all its projects, promoting awareness and responsibility among adult learners. This objective strengthens participants’ understanding of ecological challenges and sustainable practices, linking everyday learning to broader environmental goals.
Activities focus on responsible resource use, collective environmental initiatives, and local actions that promote sustainability. By engaging in European exchanges on environmental education, members bring new ideas and practical solutions to their communities.

Timing:
Immediate results are expected after the fourth mobility in 2027, with continued dissemination through workshops and seminars for adult learners.

Evaluation:
Progress is assessed using both qualitative and quantitative indicators such as increased recycling rates, waste reduction, energy efficiency, and adoption of eco-friendly practices. Surveys and observation track how sustainability principles are applied in SISERA’s operations and educational content.

Training in Entrepreneurship and Innovation

Entrepreneurial learning helps members of SISERA translate ideas into action. This objective focuses on understanding innovation, creativity, and business planning within the context of social and educational projects.
Through specialised training, participants learn to design and manage initiatives that link education with community development. They gain skills in project design, financial planning, and digital entrepreneurship — enabling SISERA to expand its reach and create new opportunities for adult learners.

Timing:
Results will be visible after the fifth mobility in 2028 and in subsequent years through the creation of new initiatives and educational programmes.

Evaluation:
Progress is tracked through the number and quality of new projects, participant feedback, and the emergence of partnerships that apply entrepreneurial skills. Case studies and success stories will be shared to inspire other learners and organisations.

Key Actions and Initiatives

Staff

Learning Mobility of Staff

These activities allow SISERA’s educators, trainers, and researchers to participate in structured learning experiences abroad. Through training courses, job shadowing, and networking with partner organisations, our staff gain new skills, explore innovative teaching methods, and strengthen their capacity to design and manage educational projects. Each mobility is built on preparation, reflection, and follow-up — ensuring that what is learned abroad is applied within SISERA and shared with the wider community.

Learning Mobilities for Adult Learners

These mobilities create opportunities for adult learners to gain knowledge and experience through international exchange. Participants take part in workshops, study visits, and community-based learning that combine practical education with cultural awareness. The aim is to help adults strengthen their confidence, develop new competences, and connect learning with their personal and professional lives.

Impact and Long-Term Vision

Our Erasmus+ Adult Accreditation is more than a framework for mobility — it is a way to build lasting capacity, connection, and purpose in adult education.
Every activity we organise, whether for staff or learners, aims to create practical change: stronger skills, better teaching, and wider opportunities for learning in our communities.

Growing Impact at Home

Each experience abroad brings something back.
Staff and participants share their new knowledge through local workshops, open talks, and cooperation with partner organisations.
These small but steady exchanges help SISERA strengthen its network in Greece, link research with practice, and make adult education more relevant to everyday needs.
We see impact not only in numbers, but in the gradual growth of confidence, creativity, and collaboration among those who take part.

Building for the Future

This accreditation is part of a long-term vision: to keep education active, sustainable, and open to everyone.
By investing in the professional development of our members and in meaningful opportunities for adult learners, SISERA builds the foundation for continued participation in European programmes beyond the current cycle.
We aim to remain a reliable partner within the Erasmus+ community — a place where learning leads to real cooperation and where each new project adds to the collective experience that drives us forward.
